Nina Humphreys has scored some of the most memorable television drama of recent years, from the heartbreaking humour of Sunshine , in which Steve Coogan played a gambling addict, to Abi Morgan’s White Girl, depicting the culture clash of a white family in Bradford seeing their young daughter embrace Islam, Debbie Horsfield’s All The Small Things , an examination of the tensions in village life that erupt when Neil Pearson betrays wife Sarah Lancashire, and the acclaimed adaptation of Sarah Walter’s Night Watch , depicting love among the ruins of London during the Blitz. In each of these complex human dramas, Nina’s beautifully balanced scores enhanced every scene they graced.
Winner of the RTS award for Best Original TV Music in 2001 for her score to Sword Of Honour , an William Boyd’s adaptation of Evelyn Waugh’s WWII trilogy starring Daniel Craig, Nina was nominated for the same award the following year for her score to Abi Morgan’s Murder .
Nina’s most recent projects include scoring the first series of Julia Davis’ magnificent Hunderby for Sky Atlantic, and providing the music for one of Sony Games’ most successful franchises, (still subject to NDA).
