Jeremy Birchall has written extensively for TV, working on a variety of projects including Ripper Street (BBC 1 / Amazon), Fortress Britain (Channel 4), and Elizabeth is Missing (BBC1).
He orchestrated An Inspector Calls for BBC 1, and previously has worked as an arranger/orchestrator for John Lunn (Downton Abbey), the RPO and EMI Classics. Jeremy also scored series 3 of Millie Inbetween (CBBC), Evermoor with Mark Russell (Disney Channel), Britain’s Most Historic Towns (Channel 4), a theme tune for all global versions of Survivor (Banijay) and he co-wrote the score for two 1-hour specials and a 10-part series of teen drama Free Rein (Netflix).
Jeremy is also known for his work in advertising; credits include M&S Christmas 2018, Amazon Alexa, Morrisons, Capital One, Intu Christmas 2018, Sky Cinema Christmas 2017 and several projects for Lenor Europe. He works frequently with Goldstein, Native, BMG and Adelphoi Music.
He has had syncs on programmes such as Blue Planet, Panorama, Grand Tour, Top Gear, Incredible Journeys with Simon Reeve, Watercolour Challenge, The One Show, The Repair Shop, and many more across all UK and international channels.
As a recording artist, Jeremy released his debut EP Music Comes To Us in 2021, available on all major streaming platforms.
He has written two ballet scores: Nostalgia for Northern Ballet, performed at the Royal Opera House, and Catching Colour, a collaboration between English National Ballet and The Line. He released the music for both of these ballets in 2022, and is now available on all major streaming platforms.
Jeremy is currently working on the score for a new ballet, choreographed by Stina Quagebeur which will see its world premiere as part of the Studies in Blue programme with the Joffrey Ballet at the Lyric Opera House in 2024.
